(From Anon: On days that either Bucky or Tony have nightmares and can't sleep, they sit together on the balcony and drink hot chocolate until the sun comes up - 💙)
I mean, it’s not just them. All the Avengers are traumatized up the wazoo. Tony even nicknames it: Chocoholics Anonymous. (He figures as a recovering alcoholic, he’s allowed to use the name.) The Avengers have an insane stock of ridiculous cocoa flavors: pumpkin spice, peppermint, eggnog, raspberry, chili pepper, vanilla (”Doesn’t that defeat the purpose of chocolate?” “Shut up, Tony.”). The cupboard is open to anyone who might need it, no matter what time of night, and even if they’re alone in their nightmare-induced insomnia to begin with, within a half-an-hour someone else will be down. Even if no one else is having nightmares, Tony has an alert set. He doesn’t want anyone to have to be alone in the dark. And since Tony gets up, Bucky gets up, too. Sometimes they play poker.
